Did You Know?

There are a number of women, 30 years of age and older, who are looking for a man who can do more for them than take them out to dinner. One of the best ways of evaluating their potential is to check out their feet.

The feet are further from the heart than any other part of the body, being the first place to detect poor circulation. Offer to give a good foot rub. If you don’t see any hair growing on the toes, that’s a sign of poor blood flow. Certain body functions require good blood flow to work properly.

If you got skills, check for one pulse on the top of the foot, just in front of the ankle, slightly closer to the big toe side. The other is right behind the ankle bone on the big toe side toward the back of the heal. One out of two pulses per foot is not bad, but no pulses can be a sign of declining health in more than one way.

It has been said that people die from the feet up. If the feet are in bad shape, you can be sure that other internal parts of the body are suffering. Since the feet are primarily skin and bone, we can easily determine if you have found a healthy specimen.

On the whole, you want to observe the overall foot hygiene. Feel for the flexibility of their joints, look between their toes, and you won’t be able to overlook the smell of poor hygiene. If they don’t take care of their own feet, how can you be sure that they’ll take better care of you?

So, you see ladies…it’s all in the FEET!

Reflexology and Heart Disease
Reflexology is a holistic therapy that uses a human therapeutic touch to manipulate the reflexes found on the palm of your hands and sole of your feet. These reflex points correspond with your organ systems and are manipulated with special pressure techniques in relieving stress and tension throughout your body, increase blood circulation, and bring a complete balance to your body. Reflexology seeks to work with your body’s natural, or innate, healing ability. When your body is in balance, it is able to stabilize and control the imbalances that cause certain ailments such as heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke (just to name a few.)

Heart Disease is an equal opportunity killer, according to the American Heart Association, “about a half million women will die of heart disease, stroke or other cardiovascular disease this year alone”. The good news is that these diseases are largely preventable with the proper exercise, diet, stress and tension relief, moderate use of alcohol and elimination of nicotine. There are uncontrollable risk factors as well, such as family history, race, gender and age. Keep in mind that your body is a temple, if you take care of it by making regular visits to your doctor, eating properly, engaging in age appropriate exercise and making changes in your lifestyle, your body will carry you through life with minimal “controlled” complications.
