Start Your Day With a Fruit Smoothie

1/2 banana, frozen
4 strawberries, frozen
1/2 mango
1 1/4 cup water
2 tbsp. frozen pina coloda mix (or 1/8 tsp. natural coconut extract)
1 heaping tbsp. high-quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax oil (optional)
6 ice cubes

Place all ingredients into a blender, mix until smooth and serve.

6 strawberries, frozen
1 banana, frozen
1 tbsp. skim milk powder
1 1/4 cup water
1 heaping tbsp. high- quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax oil (optional)

Place all ingredients into a blender, mix until smooth and serve.

Spicy Salsa Chicken

Salsa

1 can of whole peeled tomatoes, drain tomato liquid.
1 fresh garlic clove
1 chopped onion
1 quartered green bell pepper
3 sprigs of fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon salt
1 habanero pepper
(For milder version delete habanero pepper.)

Combine all ingredients in blender. Chop and refrigerate for an hour.

2-4 (4 ounce) boneless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Season both sides of chicken breasts
Coat large pan or non-stick skillet with olive oil or non-stick cooking spray.
Cook for 5 minutes on each side over medium heat.
1 cup salsa per serving

Yields: 2-4 servings

Spaghetti Marinara

1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 garlic clove
1 onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 whole peeled carrot (optional)

Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic clove, and salt in blender on liquefy speed. Pour contents into saucepan.

Place over medium heat. Add tomato paste and carrot. (The carrot adds sweetness.) Simmer for 30 minutes.
