The Spirit: Revitalizing the Spirit

revitalize_the_spirit.gifAs I begin this article, I realize that I might as well be writing it to myself. I’m sitting here trying to relax my soul, my spirit, my mind and my body after a long day.

I close my eyes, breathe deeply, and feel the rise and fall of my chest. With the expansion of my chest and the exhalation of breath, I release. I inhale, taking long, slow, deep breaths. At the exchange of each, I sense a quiet space. I love breathing in the quiet, white space. At last, I’ve found the moment of relaxation that my body craves.

In my mind, the words come and go with each breath: relax, release, relieve, rejuvenate, revive, and refresh my spirit, mind and body. My job at the moment is to rescue my spirit after working hard all day. I resolve to let go of the resistance and reclaim my peaceful spirit.

This quiet peaceful meditation is to help relax the mind, body and spirit. Go inside and feel the heartbeat, feel the breath, feel the blood as it moves throughout the body. Listen very carefully to the quiet peaceful tone within. Relax and let go, your spirit is saying “I love you.”
